Confidence in the Courtroom

Our Special Counsel, Maurice Edwards, participated in the New South Wales Law Society Young Lawyers initiative “Confidence in the Courtroom”, last weekend. Judges and Registrars of the Family Court and the Federal Circuit Court, barristers and other senior lawyers, demonstrated to young lawyers skills in court advocacy and mediation. The “Confidence in the Courtroom” Program has been in place for the last few years and provides an opportunity for recently admitted lawyers to practise and develop their skills in a Court setting.

Maurice was impressed with the calibre of the participants this year and recommends the Program to all young lawyers seeking to improve their courtroom skills.

Maurice’s current mentee of the Young Lawyers Mentoring Program, Michelle Curtis, was a participant in the initiative.
