Rescina Hekimian

Rescina practises exclusively in family law and provides clear guidance and advice on all aspects of family law, including property matters, parenting issues, pre-nuptial and other binding financial agreements, child support, spouse maintenance, de facto relationships and divorce.

Rescina is a Family Law Specialist, accredited by the Law Society of New South Wales in 2011. Rescina is a Collaborative Lawyer and trained as an Independent Children’s lawyer. Rescina has a keen interest in both complex parenting and property matters. Whilst Rescina is a strong solicitor advocate and appears regularly in both the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court, she encourages negotiation resolution where possible.

Rescina prides herself on her ability to navigate clients through difficult circumstances, providing timely, honest and practical information and advice. Rescina is committed to achieving a commercial outcome for all her clients.

Rescina’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Science and a Bachelor of Laws.

Rescina was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2003 and the High Court of Australia in 2004. Upon admission, Rescina worked for a boutique law firm that specialises in Commercial, Property and Family Law. From this, Rescina gained the benefit of experience in a wide range of legal matters, undertaking work in the areas of property and conveyancing, wills and probate and civil litigation as well as Family Law. Rescina has worked exclusively in Family Law since 2009.

Rescina was appointed a Director of Watts McCray in 2018.
